Art Classes - 2020-2021 School Year Session (Start date TBD)

Art classes at Rhythm & Hues offer a unique learning experience to artists of all ages during the school year!  Students attend small classes once a week, taught by an experienced and nurturing teaching staff.  Each lesson explores a variety of media, techniques and subject matter and is designed to encourage self-expression and creativity as related to the weekly theme.  Our overall school-year curriculum includes a broad range of instruction, combining basic art principles with fun, age-appropriate art history lessons, and is very “process-oriented.”  This curriculum allows students at all levels to work on similar projects, however individual goals and concept instruction will vary from student to student. Students are welcome to come year round or sign up for one month at a time.  Personal sketchbooks are kept, and two children’s art shows are held each school year to showcase our talented young artists.  Weekly class times are listed below. Choose the time slot that fits your schedule and your child’s age/ability.  Children's art classes:  $20 per class, includes all materials. $18 per student per class for families with 2 or more students enrolled in art classes.  (Adult art classes:  $20 plus $3 for materials.)  Call or contact us for more information or to register for classes!

Piano Lessons

The Rhythm & Hues piano program, developed by Co-founder and Music Director, Mary Lou Hannibal, integrates traditional and innovative teaching methods.  Unique incentive games, competitions, informal performance opportunities as well as formal ones accent a program that is then customized to fit each student's unique needs.  A highlight is our annual piano recitals at Joslyn Art Museum which are held each spring!  Students at all levels have the opportunity to perform!  Please call or contact us to set up lessons!  For your convenience, lessons are offered both at the studio and at Mrs. Hannibal's home studio.  Note that we currently have a waiting list but will make every effort to accommodate students as soon as possible.  $20 per lesson.  Member OMTANMTAMTNA, and IMTA.
